James Cagle

  • I'm running because I think I can bring a commonsense approach to the job.  With my years of public service and my experience in dealing with people, I will strive to bring people together to make a better Stanly County.

  • I think the growth in the county is very important, especially right now and it's got to be managed in a responsible way.  Also by managing our farmland in the county to the best of our ability and providing for our first responders.

  • I will spend taxpayers' money like I would budget my money. It's a responsibility that's always in the back of my mind when considering the county's needs .

  • I think the county's role is very important. We need to support our teachers and school system. We need to provide as much support as possible for our youth services.

  • That is definitely an issue concerning our county with the Charlotte metro area growing closer to us we have to be mindful of that growth and manage it by making sure our infrastructure can handle that growth with sewer and water needs being addressed ahead of any development.

  • It's very important to maintain the public health services for the citizens of the county   including our social services and the growing problem of mental health issues in our communities.

  • I believe every area in our county should be represented by all the commissioners on the board along with the best interests of the county as whole.

  • I will be open to discuss any issues with the citizens of the county and gladly listen to their concerns.

  • As part of the county Government, we all need to work together to make our schools better, our county better and ultimately our state better.

  • Being open to the people, listening to their concerns, understanding their needs, and trying to make the county better to service them.
